“What the watcher will see” … That about sums up the idea of Watch when it first opened in 2002. To be more specific, the place was ment to be a kind of restaurant, cafe, nightclub and live-studio where tv-shows were taking place right there live and broadcasted immediately … while you were sipping your drink at the same place … very live.
The owners had an agreement with Modern Times Group (MTG) who is behind Viasat, TV3 and more … they planned to do theme nights like Robinson with some of the participants from the show, golf nights with other famous persons, or …
Well that was their plan – we think it is safe to say that it did not really work out that way and soon the financial structure broke and Watch closed again.
Nevertheless we still like the design we did for Watch back in 2002 … please browse the gallery below to enjoy the detailing of the bars disappearing into the panels and off course the fine woodwork on the huge “amfi-theater-staicase” …
