Get Tangofied – The Art Behind Tangofied II

“It will be Tangofied” – that was the expression used when Torben Westergaard first brought his compositions to Buenos Aires, Argentina. And Tangofied they were.

We are truly honoured to have created the artwork for Tangofied II. Honoured, because for years, we’ve enjoyed Torben’s music here in the design office – perhaps from a distance, you might argue, but in reality, it has always felt close. Present, precise, and yet wonderfully spacious.

Those very qualities became our “sketch” for the cover design. As we listened to the still-in-production tracks, everything fell into place – the typography, the colours, the alignment, the spaces, and, of course, the beautifully unaligned portrait of Torben. Fortunately, Torben agreed. His response?
“…and what a great job you did! It is always a sensitive moment: to find out what music looks like. And you found it – happy and thankful am I!”
