Redefining Everyday Objects with Smart Design
Not so long ago, a client asked us to design a key ring for his company to market and sell – so we did. In fact, we originally designed it back in 1988. We loved it then, and we still love it now. Of course, in 2014, we fine-tuned the design, made a few prototypes, and introduced it to our client.
It was not a success. “That is not what I had in mind – it should be more jewellery-like,” they said. Well… hopefully not. This one was never meant to be jewellery.
Materials: Polished Brass, Copper, Stainless Steel or Anodized Aluminum.
How it works: Like any utterly old-fashioned personal gear, completely manual. It won’t come running when you whistle – it won’t tell you the time – it won’t make coffee – it won’t work as a remote control – it won’t even connect to your phone. And no, it is not jewellery.
