Transforming a Warehouse into a Creative Showroom

In 2015, a former warehouse in Aalborg was transformed into a versatile Design For The People showroom. With elements of the original structure retained – including familiar tracks and trolleys – we added black aluminium frames in two levels, creating a flexible space that could easily adapt to various needs.

The design focused on functionality and aesthetics, using a cohesive colour palette and texture combinations. This space wasn’t just for display; it could seamlessly transform into a photo studio or showcase different retail concepts. To further elevate the atmosphere, we added our beloved #102 Bønnelycke Lounge Chair, designed bespoke furniture and adorned one large wall with a favourite wallpaper from Zilmers, adding character and warmth to the space.
