Authentic Italian Eatery and Takeaway in Aarhus
“Leave the Gun, Take the Cannoli !” … But there are no criminals or mafiosos here! At Grappa Piccolo and Grappa Deli, the only crime is making you want to stay longer. This cosy, down-to-earth Italian eatery and takeaway, located by Aarhus Stream, is the charming younger sibling of the renowned Grappa restaurant.
Just like its older sister, Grappa Piccolo’s interior design focuses on creating a warm, relaxed, and inviting atmosphere, whether you’re shopping for authentic Italian specialities or enjoying a meal. Choosing between the two is as simple as going up or down the stairs.
While the Grappa identity is unmistakable, Piccolo and Grappa Deli needed their own unique character. Our design approach ensured a clear connection to Grappa while allowing the new spaces to stand out.
One key feature is the decorative floor tiles, seamlessly linking the takeaway on the top floor with the eatery on the ground floor. An open staircase visually connects the spaces, guiding guests naturally between them. We also used matching wall tiles to define working areas, a cohesive colour palette for bespoke furniture, and similar lighting designs. Every detail, textures, materials, and layout was carefully chosen to embody key values: Italian authenticity, effortless flow, accessibility, relaxation, and cosiness.
We can’t promise you Cannolis, but we love the place, and hopefully, you will too!
As always, in addition to the bespoke furniture and interior design, we also designed the logos, menus, signage, and more.
