Scandic Nørreport – Copenhagen Boutique Hotel

In the very heart of Copenhagen, a historic building from 1917 was transformed into Scandic Nørreport – an intimate boutique hotel with 100 rooms, restaurant and rooftop bar overlooking the city.

In 2020 we created the interior design with a simple ambition: to make a city hotel feel warm, personal and inviting, while giving it a distinctly contemporary character. A restrained palette of Nordic tones, dark textiles and light woods is combined with carefully selected furniture, bespoke interiors and considered detailing throughout the hotel. Particular attention was given to lighting, using the interplay of light and shadow to shape the atmosphere and character of the spaces. Acoustics were equally considered, contributing to a sense of intimacy and comfort throughout the hotel.

The result is Scandinavian interior design that respects the character of the original building – creating a relaxed atmosphere with an understated sense of exclusivity right in the middle of Copenhagen.
